Oxygen bottle explosion in scuba diving shop
I was out in Helsinki with my camera and once it started to rain I was headed back home, but the tram I was waiting never came and I heard it was because of an explosion nearby. I asked for the directions and ran to the scene hoping my camera wouldn’t take too much damage from the rain.

People asking police what had happened. Of course, their comments on the situation were very limited.

A curious massager.

Seppo Hyökki was the man who called an ambulance to the scene. He said that a man was injured and was screaming for help in shock shortly after the explosion.

This was the closest you could get without a presscard.

My former English teacher was also there asking the cop what had happened.

Some of the cops were wearing helmets because the risk of an other explosion.


The police had a quick informing for the press.
